(2019) Puget Sound's native Orca whale population, known by the Lummi as qwe 'lhol mechen, are dwindling. The Lummi recognize the animals as family and an integral part of their ecosystem. I tagged along with Levi Pulkkinen to see what how and what the Lummi are doing to alleviate the heartbreak.
